It is said that a special discussion will be held under the patronage of the Chairman of the Election Commission Mahinda Deshapriya.
The Health, Police, Armed Forces, Postal and Public Administration heads have been summoned for the discussion.
Following this discussion, the Commission has decided to obtain a written report from the Director General of Health Services.
By referring to the report the Election Commission has decided to obtain separate recommendations on different aspects of election including suitable period to hold the election, how polling station duty and counting center duty should be carried out while maintaining proper hygienic practices , how the voters should approach polling stations and postal vote.
