Liquor shops allowed to re-open

Liquor shops have been permitted to re-open in the areas where the curfew is not in effect, the Excise Department said.

Accordingly, those who hold Wholesale License (FL3), Retail License (FL4) and Beer, Ale, Stout & Wine License for retail sale (22A) have been permitted to open shops under strict guidelines.
The Department said bars at hotels, pubs and restaurants have not been permitted to re-open yet.

Bars at supermarkets in Colombo and Gampaha have also been permitted to re-open.
