He is accused of threatening a businessman by demanding money for his father's election campaign.
The Thalangama Police reported the incident to the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court yesterday (17 July).
It is reported that the suspect Malaka Silva has demanded Rs. 100,000 from the businessman.
The businessman has lodged a complaint with the police and investigations are underway.
