Today (18) marks the first anniversary of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa's inauguration as President.
He is to address the nation at 8.30pm tonight which will be broadcast on TV, radio and social media.
It is also the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, the older brother of the President. Coincidentally, the PM yesterday announced the 75th Budget presented in Parliament after the country was granted Independence.
