The Covid-19 prevention task force has decided that the Anti-Covid-19 syrup produced by Dhammika Bandara of Kegalle should be given to the prisoners who are willing to test it.
As a preliminary test on the drug, 21 officers of the Sri Lanka Police who were infected with Covid-19 virus were given the syrup.
A senior police spokesman has told Deshaya newspaper that 14 of the 21 people who had used the syrup had fully recovered after a few days.
Therefore, another group of patients will be given the syrup soon and tested, he said.
