Former presidential candidate and Attorney-at-Law Rohan Pallewatta, called on the Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa today (24).
It is said that he has decided to continue his political activities with the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB).
He will also be appointed to the Working Committee of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya and will be the Chairman of the SJB's Foreign Policy and Foreign Trade Policy Development Council.
He will also be named as a Leader of the Professionals Association and a Chief Adviser of the SJB, reports add.
Pallewatta is a well known businessman as well as a professional entrepreneur.
He is also the Executive Chairman of Lanka Harness, a BOI-approved start-up high tech company in the Biyagama Free Trade Zone. His company manufactures airbag sensors for all world famous luxury vehicles such as Toyota, Honda, Volvo, BMW, Aston Martin and Opel.
An old boy of St. Anthony's, Katugasthota, he holds a Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of Kelaniya, a Postgraduate Degree in Management from the University of Jayewardenepura and a Doctorate from the University of Bolden, England.
